Cooking Demonstration

Make our famous whoopie pies and delicious shoo-fly pie. Volunteers from the group will help with the demonstration. Everyone in the group will get a delicious treat to take home! Tuesday - Friday.

Learn the difference between a jelly, jam and preserve. Participants will learn about the canning process, and are invited to take part in a cooking demo (with tasting of course). Available exclusively to groups. Reservations required. Monday - Friday, year-round.

Apprentice Yourself to a Farmer

Be a farmer's apprentice for an hour or two on a real working farm. Milk a cow, make preserves, feed the animals, learn quilting and plant/harvest some crops! April - November.

Meet an Amish painter at Wenger Gallery to discuss technique and ask questions of their craft. Or, meet with a local quilter at The Quilt Shop and gain an appreciation for the techniques used by a truly talented artisan. Wenger Gallery and The Quilt Shop are located at Miller's, Lancaster's Original Smorgasbord. Both complimentary options require reservations and are 30 minutes in length.
