On your next family vacation, plan to visit the Make-A-Friend Workshop. Step inside our one room schoolhouse and your cultural adventure begins. We are located on the Cherry-Crest property but our shop is not contingent on the weather and is air-conditioned.

You and your family can choose to build a wooden barn or an Amish friend, or both!

Build-A-Barn: Feel like a carpenter? Choose your wooden barn pieces and nails. We'll provide the hammer, safety glasses and workshop bench.

Make-A-Friend: To begin, be sure to get your workshop pass and make your way around six different Creation Stations. Not only will you create a friend from Amish country with authentic handmade clothing, you will also learn about your friend's culture at the same time.

Garments for your friend and barn pieces are all Amish-made and you will receive a certificate of authenticity for each creation you make or design and order.
