Pinetown Covered Bridge

Conestoga River

Built by Elias McMellen in 1867 for $4500.  It was washed off its base by the flood waters of Hurricane Agnus in 1972.  Nearby Amish workers rebuilt the bridge the following Spring and raised it to 17.5 ft. above the average water level to avoid future flood damage.  Location:  100 ft. east of Pinetown and Bridge Roads in Upper Leacock Township 2 miles southwest of Brownstown.
