Amethyst Inn Bed & Breakfast

Situated high on a hill with a magnificent view of historic Main Street, the Amethyst Inn is a massive, heavily veranda home built in the 1830s. Architectural elements have been painstakingly clad in seven colors- shades of amethyst, gold, lavender and forest green, welcoming guests into Victorian splendor and warm hospitality.

All rooms feature private baths, two-person Jacuzzis and gas log fireplaces. We have three luxury rooms that boast European-style steam showers or multi-jetted massage showers, as well as private balconies and patios
Adamstown is nationally (if not internationally) known as Antiques Capital, U.S.A.  As one of the top antiquing destinations in the country, Lancaster County is a paradise for those seeking the treasures of years past.

The Amethyst Inn is just 20 minutes northwest of Lancaster City and features a beautiful combination of history and progress, which includes covered bridges, Lancaster Central Market, Strasburg Railroad and Sight and Sound Millennium Theater.  Reading, Pa is 10 minutes north of Adamstown, the outlet capital of the world, and offers a vast assortment of top quality merchandise in addition to public museums, terrific jazz, a superb symphony and the new Sovereign Center.  If you’re looking for something more exhilarating, travel 40 minutes west to Hershey Park, or just 45 minutes east to Philadelphia.
