Things To Do

Bube's Brewery

Bube's Brewery is a 19th century brewery complex; a series of buildings which collectively performed the various functions needed at a brewery operating at that time. Bube's is one of the only breweries from the early days of the great American breweries that has been left intact. Today, Bube's operates as not only a microbrewery, but also as an entertainment and dining mecca.

The Brewery began producing beer again in November 2001 for the first time since 1917. The present day brewery operates in the original brewery's ice house. Visitors are welcome to tour the brewery.

Ghost tours are offered by our resident ghost expert, Jean Ellis. She also happens to be Alois Bube's great granddaughter! Please visit our website for her scheduled tours.

Dining in Bube's Brewery is the main event. There are three restaurants to choose from as well as banquet facilities. The Catacombs restaurant is located in the aging cellars of the brewery (43 feet under street level). A fine dining menu is available evenings. Medieval feasts are held in the Catacombs. The Bottling Works and seasonal Beirgarten offer more casual fare. The Bottling Works is open for lunch as well as dinner and late evening snacks. Alois's is the most formal dining experience at Bube's. Alois's also offers a Martini Bar. For more information, menus and hours, please visit our website.
