Come for a Christmas Tea or Fireside Dessert and enjoy all of our wonderful decorations!
The year is 1875 and the town of Marietta is booming. Benjamin Hiestand is the wealthy owner of a sawmill, a planing mill and a coal yard. Mr. Hiestand has just built an elegant mansion for his family...a place of beauty and serenity, where they can escape the noise and the heat of the town.
Now, after more than five years of loving restoration, we present Susquehanna Manor much as it was in 1875 - an oasis of peace and Victorian elegance. From the mahogany-paneled dining room to the comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bath, the entire house is authentically restored and furnished in period antiques.
A Lancaster County breakfast is served daily. Other meals for from two to twenty people are available by appointment. Call us to arrange a luncheon or tea party that will look elegant and taste even better! For a special party or meeting, we'll design a menu just for you. For a unique, one-of-a-kind wedding...we'll take care of everything from rehearsal dinner to honeymoon.
We invite you to get away from the noise and frantic pace of today's world. Come to Susquehanna Manor and yet be only minutes away from Lancaster County and Hershey attractions. After a fun-filled day, come home. Sit on a wicker chair, sip a lemonade, and enjoy the view and the breeze from our wrap-around porch. Or, curl up with your favorite book in front of the fireplace in the library. Allow us to show you what luxurious, pampered unwinding is all about.
Susquehanna Manor is open year 'round.
