Kick off this year’s summer season with a delicious Memorial Day Weekend at the second annual Great Pennsylvania FlavorFest, an all-encompassing showcase of Pennsylvania’s unique cuisines and the region’s cultural diversity.
FlavorFest is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a taste of the state’s dazzling array of culinary, beer and wine offerings. Since this talented line-up includes numerous local participants, it’s also a great way to experience many elements of what Lancaster County has to offer all in one place.
Enjoy cooking demos each day that spotlight chefs from regional and local restaurants. Attend workshops focusing on the culinary art of pairing beer and wine with a variety of meals as well as other topics all presented by industry leaders. Sample the unique and taste tempting products available for purchase from a wide variety of Pennsylvania specialty food vendors and Pennsylvania wineries and savor samples of beers made by well established Pennsylvania breweries. There’s so much to see and so!
FlavorFest isn’t just for adults. Children are invited to explore Pennsylvania’s culinary and artisan worlds in the Crafty Kids area with hands-on activities, demonstrations and cooking lessons that will enlighten and amuse FlavorFest’s young audience.
A diverse mix of Folk, Americana, Bluegrass and Jazz music performed by national and local musicians will create an exciting soundtrack for the weekend’s activities and exhibitors from the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen will sell one-of-a-kind items that will pique the interest of even the most seasoned shopper.
