AQS QuiltWeek™ in Lancaster PA

We’re excited to welcome you to Lancaster County for the AQS QuiltWeek™, March 13-16! We're confident you'll thoroughly enjoy your visit to our area, known for its hand-crafted Amish and Mennonite quilts. Below, you'll find some useful links to help you make the most of your visit to Pennsylvania Dutch Country.

The show will be held at the Lancaster County Convention Center, connected to the headquarters hotel – Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square. The quilt exhibits and merchant mall areas will be located in Freedom Hall, the Commonwealth Ballroom, and the Heritage Ballroom – all located at the convention center.

Quilters from around the world will be displaying their finest work in this international quilting event. More than $44,000 in cash prizes will be awarded in the quilt contest, with $10,000 going to the Best of Show winner. Workshops and lectures will be held in the convention center, across the street in Southern Market Center, or two blocks over at the Millersville University – Lancaster venue. The show will also feature numerous special events and exhibits.

These include two internationally celebrated exhibits of textile artwork. Making its North American debut, Beneath the Southern Sky features 30 works from artists across four continents. Curated by Brenda Gael Smith, the collected quilts showcase quilters’ diversity in technique, style, and subject matter. Appearing in Lancaster for the first time, the Stitch Like an Egyptian exhibit will showcase stunning creations of appliqué. Accompanying the works will be Tarek Abdelhay and Hosam Hanafy, eager to meet visitors and demonstrate their amazing appliqué techniques.
