One of the most popular winter attractions in the region, AvalancheXpress snow tubing is a thrilling downhill experience for teens, adults and kids alike.

With multiple downhill runs, including "Xtreme" lanes for experienced tubers and two new lanes for little ones, tubers enjoy fast moving lines and even faster tube rides. The engineering of the hill is in fact widely recognized as being the best along the East coast making for the most thrilling snow tubing experience around.

The Ice Park at Clipper Magazine Stadium is a winter wonderland where family and friends can enjoy Lancaster's only outdoor ice skating rink! Whether you are a beginner or an expert skater, the Ice Park offers fun for any skill level!

The Ice Park is open from December through February weather permitting.

Enjoy the crisp winter air as well with a picturesque driving tour of our covered bridges, learn about maple sugaring during the last half of February or witness the breathtaking snow geese migration at MIddle Creek WIldlife Management Area where you can see in upwards of 80,000 waterfowl.

Lancaster County Mud Sales

Find great buys, gets some PA Dutch eats, and talk with local Amish farmers and craftsmen as the unique Lancaster County tradition of “mud sales” season kicks off, mainly late February through early April. These community auctions benefit local fire companies and provide some of the most authentic interaction available with our Amish neighbors.
