(Lancaster, Pa.) Riding an increasing wave of user-generated content, the Pennsylvania Dutch Convention & Visitors Bureau (PA Dutch CVB) is inviting visitors to enter a YouTube-based “Why I Love Lancaster County, PA” video contest, the grand prize winner of which will enjoy a complimentary getaway to the heart of PA Dutch Country and the chance to appear in one of the Bureau’s new 2009 commercials.
Interested travelers can watch the Official Contest Video on YouTube.com, and upload their one to three minute entry as a response video (complete contest rules are available at http://budurl.com/YILoveLancaster). Two runners up will each win a sumptuous Lancaster County gift basket. Submissions for the grand prize must be received by April 15, 2009, and submissions eligible for the runner-up gifts must be received by July 31, 2009.
“Visitors interested in coming to Lancaster want to hear directly from travelers who have already been here about their experiences – what they did and saw, the food they ate, where they stayed,” noted Chris Barrett, president and CEO of the PA Dutch CVB.
“These videos are a great way to add interesting and valuable content to the testimonial messages we already have planned for this year on radio and TV, on our website, and on our social media pages. We’re really looking forward to seeing the creativity and feedback of our guests.”
Lancaster County is a wonderful blend of urban style and rural splendor, and the PA Dutch Convention & Visitors Bureau is dedicated to promoting its many rich cultures, from the Amish to the arts.
