Lancaster County Christmas shows and performances

Lancaster, PA Christmas performances include traditional favorites and original stage productions. Holiday shows begin in November and last until the New Year.

  • The 2011 Christmas Show: November 1 –December 30 at the American Music Theatre. It's the most wonderful time of the year - time to be dazzled and delighted with musical merriment! This year's show will feature the very best holiday music, dynamic dancing, and even a visit from Santa himself. 717-397-7700 or www.amtshows.com

  • Miracle on 34th Street: November 17 – December 23 at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre. Kris Kringle takes on the cynics among us in this musical adaptation of the popular holiday movie. A white-bearded gentleman claiming to be the real Santa Claus brings about a gunuine miracle, spreading a wave of love throughout New York City. 717-898-1300 or www.dutchapple.com

  • Hairspray: November 30 - December 31 at the Fulton Theatre. Jump back to early 1960s Baltimore, where pleasantly plump Tracy Turnbald has big hair, and even bigger heart, and a huge dream to be a dancer on the Corny Collins Show. This musical-comedy blockbuster inspired a film & swept the Tony Awards, and audiences, off their feet. 717-397-7425 or www.thefulton.org
  • Miracle of Christmas: November 11 – December 31 at Sight & Sound Millennium Theatre. Christmas memories jump to life as a brand-new sensory experience takes place at the Millennium Theatre. Taste and smell holiday treats as you interact with characters and animals from the nativity story. 800-377-1277 or www.sight-sound.com

  • Home for the Holidays: November 8 – December 30 at Rainbow Dinner Theatre. A nice young couple settle in for a cozy Christmas together in their New York apartment. No pressure, no parents. Especially her parents, who don't know they're living together... or that she even has a boyfriend, or than he's Jewish while she's not. It would be a beautiful Christmas if her parents don't show up on her door; it'll be a funnier Christmas if they do! 800-292-4301 or www.rainbowdinnertheatre.com

  • A Dickens of a Christmas: Weekends and select weeknights December 1-23 at Mt. Hope Estate & Winery. Click here for a full list of available dates and times. A turn-of-the-century holiday with Charles Dickens and samples from the wine center! 717-665-7021 www.parenfaire.com
